SHoW DMX SHoW Baby® 6 Wireless DMX with Maximum Bandwidth Technology™ (Legacy Product)
City Theatrical's SHoW DMX SHoW Baby 6 wireless dmx represents a breakthrough in plug-and-play wireless DMX. It's incredibly easy to use and incredibly affordable, while for the first time offering the quality and advanced features of SHoW DMX Neo Maximum Bandwidth Technology.
The ultimate simplicity of plug and play with the power of SHoW DMX Neo® Max Technology wireless DMX.
DMX Maximum Bandwidth Technology allows SHoW DMX users to avoid nearly all broadcast interference by confining their radio output to the general area of Wi-Fi channel 14, which is not used at all in the U.S. and is
used relatively less in other countries. The new, sixth, SHoW ID in SHoW Baby 6 gives SHoW Baby Max Technology capability to help avoid interference in a crowded spectrum.
The SHoW DMX SHoW Baby 6 represents a breakthrough in plug-and-play wireless DMX and RDM transmission - a single unit that can be used either as a wireless DMX Transmitter or Receiver. Set-up couldn’t be simpler with SHoW DMX SHoW Baby’s instant plug-and-play configuration: For a Transmitter, connect DMX IN, for a Receiver, don’t.
When a DMX cable is plugged into the SHoW DMX SHoW Baby’s DMX Input, the SHoW DMX SHoW Baby senses the connection and configures itself as a transmitter. If no cable is connected to the DMX Input, the SHoW Baby configures itself as a Receiver.
All you need now to set up a SHoW DMX wireless DMX system is two SHoW DMX SHoW Baby units and two minutes!
Need to scale up your SHoW DMX SHoW Baby 6 system?
Using the six different SHoW IDs available with SHoW Baby 6, you can set up a multi-universe system by adding additional Transmitters or use multiple separate SHoW Baby systems in the same area.
How it works:
There are still seven indicator lights on the front of the SHoW Baby, four for signal strength, one to designate whether it is a Transmitter, one to designate whether it is a Receiver, and a Data present light.
In SHoW Baby 6, that Data light (now labelled ID/Data) serves a second purpose, and that is to designate the SHoW ID. A small indented button on the back, when pushed, cycles through the six SHoW IDs, and the user only has to be sure the Transmitter and all Receivers have the same colour selected on the Data/ID light.
If there are two SHoW Baby systems in an area, or if a user needs to scale up a multi-universe system by adding additional Transmitters, he needs only to select a different colour of Data/ID light.

|SHoW DMX SHoW Baby 6 in THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride in Chicago, New Orleans, Fort Lauderdale, and Whippany, NJ||
City Theatrical’s SHoW DMX SHoW Baby 6 products were used (two as transmitters, two as receivers), in addition to two External Weatherproof Antennas, in a plug and play manner to transmit wireless DMX from each train.
“The four SHoW Baby 6 units, combined with the external antennas, have blown us away again this year in terms of their range and reliability in the heavilycongested downtown Chicago RF spectrum.” - Guy Rhodes, Lighting Designer, THE POLAR EXPRESS Train Ride
|SHoW DMX SHoW Baby 6 Wireless DMX at LIVE with Kelly and Ryan and Eyewitness News, an interivew with Phil Widmer||"As lighting designers, if we have a problem with one of your lights that all daisy chain with wired DMX data, two thirds of your truss could be lost. SHoW Baby has made a huge improvement in how we control our light fixtures with wireless DMX. We use it for the host chat desk because it’s reliable, and so the talent doesn’t trip over cables." - Phil Widmer, Lighting Designer, LIVE with Kelly and Ryan, and Eyewitness News|
|Pathway Connectivity Pathport C-Series at National Music Forum in Wroclaw, Poland||The National Forum of Music (NFM), a brand-new, state-of-the-art concert venue in the heart of Wroclaw, opened on September 4th, 2015. The National Forum of Music is the largest multi-purpose center in Lower Silesia, Poland. The main aim of the center was to create a public institution comprising the Ministry of Culture and National heritage. The NFM needed to come up with a solution to help light all these separated theatres and rooms, without the hassle of cables and wiring. They chose City Theatrical wireless DMX solutions and Pathway Connectivity PATHPORT® C Series nodes in the NFM installation. “In our current situation with the National Forum of Music, we often come across the necessity of conversion of commonly used Ethernet signal into the Traditional DMX standard. The Ethernet signal simultaneously transmits multiple DMX signals and the Pathway node can isolate the desired DMX universe without the necessity of using extra power supplies- the power is being supplied by Ethernet due to POE option. The pathway node is extremely useful to use, the setting is configured from simple software from any computer. The greatest thing about the Pathway C-Series node is that it works impeccably no matter what project we’ve worked on.”|

|10/21/2021||1034 ColorSource SHoW DMX Compatibility||ETC’s ColorSource wireless relay system uses 5792 SHoW DMX Neo radio module firmware v3.3.x to be compatible with ETC’s RDM network. City Theatrical’s SHoW DMX product line uses 5792 firmware 2.13.x. When the two systems are intermixed, compatibility issues may appear. To correct this compatibility issue, it is recommended to upgrade CTI product to radio 5792 firmware 3.3.x. See details in Tech Bulletin 1032|
